Dear South Carolina Friends,

As you may know, Congress is reviewing the BRIDGE Act introduced by Senator Graham and we are calling for our South Carolina Congressional Members to work across the aisle and with the new administration to see that we support our Dreamers. This legislation will protect the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program recipients.

We are asking for your support in our letter. It is critical that we make it clear to our South Carolina leadership within Congress that without this bill thousands of this great state’s youngest and brightest minds will be without protection.

The letter can be found below and you may sign on by filling out this simple FORM . Also, feel free to share this letter with your networks or other organizations that might be interested.

Thank you for your support. Please don’t hesitate to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Here is the letter you’ll be signing:

Dear members of South Carolina’s Congressional Delegation,

As business, civic, religious, and non-profit organizations and community leaders dedicated to the strength and stability of South Carolina communities, we urgently call on South Carolinas members of Congress to work with the incoming Administration to pass the BRIDGE Act introduced by Senator Graham. This legislation will protect the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program recipients and their families.

We have seen strong statewide support for South Carolina youth with DACA and their families. These young South Carolinians are enthusiastically pursuing their education, dedicating their skills and entrepreneurial spirit, and becoming leaders in their communities. DACA has provided these hard-working young South Carolinians and their families with a measure of stability. They are a critical part of our state’s social and economic fabric and are actively contributing to local communities and economies.

We strongly urge you to preserve DACA through the BRIDGE Act, so that these important community members can continue to work hard as teachers, health care professionals, accountants, counselors, and small-business owners. Retaining DACA is the right choice, both morally and economically. It protects the human dignity of these youth, despite where they were born.

The BRIDGE Act will secure the safety of those with DACA and their families will continue to uplift the many young people who want to put their talents to use and give back to the only country they know as home.

Sincerely,

Your Name and Your Organization or Occupation
